I was charged £28 yesterday for transport around London, tapped on and off at every station. I’ve heard it could be because we waited longer at Wembley Park after the Weeknd concert.. should we automatically get refunded? I paid by my physical card each time!

Yeah it’s called express transit and it works even if your phone is dead

Another tip, if you tap in with your phone, tap out with your phone and if you tap in with your watch tap out with your watch. Otherwise it charges for unfinished journeys even though it is the same card. My friend got a huge refund cause she was essentially charged double.

Another big benefit is you can use it to pay on transit for a few hours after your phone goes dead because the phone keeps a tiny bit of battery in reserve, it only works when your phone goes dead, it won't show up if you manually turn your phone off.

Don’t do this please 😅, it’s a possible security risk where an attacker doesn’t need Face ID to get a payment. Not sure if they patched it but this feature is triggering alarms in me for some reason 😅
