my best friend at 19 died when she was 19 as well, she had plans of joining nursing program in fall. She was an organ donor, so her organs were harvested. It brings me some joy to know that even though she never got to be a nurse, she still got to save people.

As a mom, I can not imagine the pain of losing one of my children, but in the same breath this would be such a miracle to help the recipient to understand what type of person my child was. And I would do this exact thing if that time ever comes and they needed reassurance.
