there are some bad social workers who say abusive men are a danger to woman and children i do agree with that, what i dont agree with is the social worker then displaying the same behaviour as said men re triggering women who are trying to heal, causing the woman to feel like shes back in that situation her mental health declines because of it then the social worker uses her mental health against her.

and you are bang on the money about this bad practices with many social workers and I dont think its bad to highlight this and acknowledge what happens to families that dont deserve escalation. however think you can advice parents and children what they can do if face with these bad practices

I seen the edit and I commented underneath the video and said why haven’t you posted the full video they used the beginning and ran with it so it fits the narrative they all want.. it’s a shame that ppl actually think you are like this

I’ve noticed a few of these on my feed in the past 24 hours. I thought it was AI so I went to your account to watch the video in full so I could make sure it hadn’t or had been taken out of context. It had been completely taken out of context. In the full version you go on to explain to parents what they need to do to make sure that scenario (SW bad practice) doesn’t happen. You spoke very clearly on what parents need to do if they want to ‘fight back’ and that ‘fighting back’ by being verbally abusive towards SWs and refusing to engage is not going to help, it will only make it worse or could lead to the bad practice you spoke of. That’s what I got from the full version of the video.

I think if you had perhaps made it clear at the start of the video that you’re calling out bad practice, it would not have been misinterpreted. Would be good to reflect on how you approach such videos moving forward, and making it clear from the start what the aim of what you’re saying is.

You gave information publicly which is in the best interest of the public. There is bad social workers, there’s SW in it for their pay cheque and not the benefit of children or family. There’s also amazing social workers in it for the right reasons, I absolutely believe you’re the latter

I'm sure you aware that I disagree with some of your views, however, I will say that your video came across as more of a whistleblowing perspective than actually teaching bad practice. I've also seen the other videos and how they have been edited, which isnt fair.

As someone who’s had stuff written that wasn’t true I totally get the meaning behind your video . I know the things wrote made for horrific reading but I dealt with it in the right way and didn’t bat an eyelid about it as I know who I am , meeting it with fire would have escalated it , it was corrected with support from other professionals who actually knew me well 😁
