And the opinion is still subjective, since in a lot of media omegas can be viewed as muscular and powerful, but that doesn’t change the genre whatsoever

most of the omegaverse genre on ao3 is just smut with no plot whatsoever, I've seen pedophilia and rape before under the excuse of "but the kid's an omega and the guy's an alpha, he was just helping him with his first heat!!!!" like ok stop. SOMETIMES, it can be written well, though this is usually only the case when the smut is non-existent/not the point of the fic

Okay but what about MLW omegaverse, or WLW omegaverse. You're completely ignoring every other dynamic other than two men on which one is an alpha and one is an Omega. You obviously don't have to like it, but I do feel like it's a way to (sort of) quietly write out sexual fantasies related to different kinks. Again, don't have to like it, but that doesn't make it morally wrong.
