@thetimes: After a decade in Dubai, the alleged cartel boss Daniel Kinahan is extradited under one of the biggest security operations in Irish history — featuring snipers, decoys and bomb-proof vans. For the first time since 2016, Kinahan will return to Ireland, flown on a government jet. The Dassault Falcon 6X has taken off from Dubai and is scheduled to land at a military airbase outside Dublin at about 6pm. Intelligence sources suggest Kinahan, 49, is likely to be under multiple threats once he is back in Ireland, including from elements of his own cartel, dissident republicans, hostile state actors and powerful criminals who wish to avenge the murders of their own gang members.
