@benyim33: You don’t need a hundred people to believe in you. You need one. And that one isn’t who you think. It’s not your mom. Not your best friend. Not your partner. It’s the version of you that existed before the world told you who to be. The kid who dreamed without asking permission. Somewhere between then and now, you started performing for everyone but them. Chasing approval from people who were never going to be able to give you the kind of belief you actually need. There are really only two people whose opinion should carry weight: the child you were, and the person you’ll be at the end of this. Everything in between is just the distance you’re closing. Do it so that kid would be proud. That’s the only audience that’s ever mattered.
