@glp1root: Why does chewing ice help my GLP-1 nausea? 🧊 there are a few interesting theories: • Cooling the mouth may dampen taste signals that can contribute to nausea. • Cold oral stimulation may reduce nausea and vomiting reflexes. • Ice may trigger physiologic responses through the nervous system that help settle that queasy feeling. • Some studies have found that cold oral stimuli (ice chips, popsicles, ice lollies) can reduce nausea in certain settings. I don’t know if it’s the cold, the sensory distraction, or something else—but chewing ice helps my nausea almost every time. Have you tried it? 🧊
Chewing Ice is terrible for your teeth. Is there any other ideas?
