I understand a bunch of mixed feelings but I am completely over all this superiority daughter knows best bullsht…. It’s the only thing that kills me about these shows… yea her career choice isn’t the best but gotdammit why does her daughter torture her for not staying home and making bread from scratch… her dads a dr and I don’t see her flipping out on him whenever he has to stay out until the following day because of surgeries 😒

Y'all cannot handle complicated female characters. It's pretty obvious that her kids don't see Joe as a monster for protecting her family but Joe and Neal also sheltered the two as what good parents should do so ofcourse they would be traumatized for witnessing all that.

They targeted them. I understand the kids shock as they might not have fully understood her job but she is a soldier fighting a war, Jo protected her family. I feel like this is such an important part of her story that others might relate to.

Some of y’all don’t seem to understand the level of secrecy a person like Jo has to have even with her immediate family. There’s a big difference between knowing your parent might have to ☠️someone on some mission in another country, and someone coming TO YOUR LITERAL HOUSE and your parent having to ☠️them right in front of you, and then you learn your parent’s job is WAAAAAAAY more violent than you could have comprehended, and on top of that your home is no longer safe so you have to leave it with zero notice. These girls just had their worlds ripped apart and turned upside down in an instant. That’s a big deal when you’re a teenager. They’re in shock. People act different when they’re in shock. Maybe the show will let us see their emotional arc in upcoming episodes, where they’re able to process past these initial emotions.
