@galimov_dynamics: #armor #warthunder #tank ArmorSim is a 3D terminal ballistics simulator created for military enthusiasts. Our primary goal is to visually and physically accurately depict armor penetration processes at extreme speeds. Instead of the usual game-like "hardness points," the project's core is based on real scientific research and rigorous analytical models (Tate, Recht-Ipson, Grady). The simulator already contains an extensive database of armor materials and kinetic projectiles from the arsenals of three different countries. All calculations - from rod erosion (wearing down) to ragged hole edges and fragment formation-are strictly tied to the physical properties of materials: density, yield strength, and laboratory test data. This is an attempt to translate the complex physics of high-speed impacts into an accessible, interactive format.
