After the first date, he said so you're my girlfriend now?, and I know that should have been a red flag but he lavished so much attention and affection on me from the get go, and I was starved of all of that so I lapped it up! When I look back, I fell for textbook lovebombing and still feel kind of stupid sometimes.

for me, my avoidant marking territory was a combo of me having to detach from any female friendships she saw as problematic- which was fine, and her not detaching from similar male friendships (orbitors). and my kids pics and events were less prominent than hers. she brought me to meet her sister and brother in law whonwere doing fall photos, which was nice, but it wasnt until 4 years in we did them with my kids. she frequently drove a wedge between me and my kids.
