Manuals tend to be more reliable and they’re significantly cheaper to repair or replace. They help the driver stay engaged and focused and even keep you mind healthy. With people’s lessening attention span I think having more manual transmissions on the road wouldn’t be such a bad thing. I started driving a shitty ranger with a manual transmission 2 years ago, and it’s great for me being someone with adhd and it’s saved my ass a few times since repairs were cheaper.
