Benny :
Most of us truckers are getting lazy about adjusting brakes since self adjusting slack adjusters came out. Pump the brakes a few times and supposed to be adjusted correctly.

China built new parts junk. Aluminum swells up twice as fast than it used to when we made it in our factories

1”1/2” stroke is what you want. No more than 2” on a 30-30 brake pot

Air tool oil is your friend!! Bought an old trailer that aired up slow. Douched it with air tool oil a few times, worked it through the system and it was night and day. Keeps valves lubed without freeze worry

Open glad hands and valves left to sit over summers can plug with all kids of stuff. I had that problem once with no air to the brakes and turns out bees had been living in the valve and blocked it off.
