@siyaswrites: Almost half a year had passed since Miu became Lena's personal secretary. In those six months, Lalee Enterprise had changed. The employees smiled more. The executive floor felt less intimidating. Even the CEO herself... Though she would never admit it... Had changed. Somewhere along the way... The line between the CEO and her personal secretary had quietly begun to blur. And for the first time in weeks... Neither of them was supposed to be working. At exactly 8:43 A.M., Lena's phone vibrated. She frowned, reaching for it from her bedside table. > Miu: Good morning. > Miu: Sorry for texting on your day off. Lena smiled before she could stop herself. She typed back. > Lena: It's fine. You're not bothering me. The typing indicator appeared. Then disappeared. Then returned. > Miu: I accidentally left a blue folder on my desk yesterday. > Miu: I need it before Monday. > Miu: I was wondering if the building is open today. Lena read the messages once. Twice. Then she climbed out of bed. > Lena: Stay there. Twenty-seven minutes later... A black Mercedes rolled into Lalee Enterprise's parking lot. Miu looked up in surprise. "You actually came." Lena stepped out of the car, locking it behind her. "You needed the building." "I only asked if the building was open." "It is now." Miu laughed. "You didn't have to drive all the way here." "I know." "Then why did you?" Lena slipped the key card into the entrance scanner. "Because... you asked." For a second... Neither of them spoke. Then Miu smiled. "Thank you." The building felt completely different on a weekend. No ringing telephones. No hurried footsteps. No executives carrying stacks of paperwork. Only the quiet hum of the air-conditioning. "I've never realized how big this place is," Miu said as they entered the elevator. "You only notice it when it's empty." "I like it." "I prefer when people are working." "You really are married to your company." Lena looked at her. "... That's one way to describe it." The executive floor lit up automatically as they walked through. Miu headed straight toward her desk. "There you are." She lifted a blue folder from beneath several reports. "I would've been in trouble if I'd forgotten this." Lena leaned against the doorframe of her office. "What's inside?" Miu hugged it protectively. "If I tell you..." "You'll ruin the surprise." Lena raised an eyebrow. "So there really is a surprise?" "There is." "And I'm involved?" Miu's smile widened. "You'll see." They stepped back into the elevator. The doors closed. A second later... The elevator jerked. Then stopped. Miu looked at the display. "... That doesn't seem right." Lena pressed the emergency button. Nothing. She pressed it again. Still nothing. "The maintenance team probably disabled part of the system." "So..." Miu folded her arms. "We're stuck?" "For a little while." Five minutes passed. Then ten. The silence wasn't awkward. Miu eventually slid down until she was sitting on the floor. She looked up at Lena. "You know..." "What?" "You don't have to stand there looking intimidating." "I wasn't trying to." "It comes naturally?" "Unfortunately." Miu chuckled. "Sit." "I'm alright." "You've been standing since we got in." "I'm comfortable." She patted the floor. "I promise your reputation won't disappear if you sit." Lena looked at her. Then sighed. "... You're persistent." "I prefer determined." "You've clearly rehearsed that answer." "I've had plenty of practice." Lena finally sat across from her. "There." "See?" Miu smiled triumphantly. "The world kept spinning." Another few minutes slipped by. Miu rested her head against the wall. "Can I ask you something?" "You usually do." "What were you like before all this?" Lena tilted her head. "Before what?" "Before becoming the Ice Queen of Bangkok." Lena let out the quietest laugh. "You really call me that?" "Not to your face." "... Apparently." Miu rested her arms on her knees. "So?" Lena thought for a while. "I laughed more." "What made you laugh?" "My father." check com sec 4 continuation! #lenamiu #miulena #wlw #targetaudience #fyp

💫2: Her voice softened. "He loved terrible jokes." "Worse than Bam's?" "Much worse." Miu gasped dramatically. "I refuse to believe that's possible." "It is." "I would've liked him." Lena looked down at her hands. "... He would've liked you too." The words escaped before she could stop them. Miu looked at her. "You think so?" "I know so." "What makes you so sure?" "He liked people who weren't afraid to speak honestly." Her eyes met Miu's. "... You remind me of him." Miu's smile slowly faded into something softer. "That's one of the nicest things you've ever said to me." Lena looked away. Then Miu spoke again. "My turn." Lena looked back. "What about you?" "I wasn't that different." "I doubt that." "I smiled more." "You still smile." "I do." Miu looked down at her hands. "But now..." She hesitated. "... I have more reasons to." Lena's heart skipped once. She wasn't sure why. She wasn't even sure if Miu realized what she'd just implied. Neither of them mentioned it. The emergency speaker finally crackled to life. "We're terribly sorry for the inconvenience, Ms. Schuett. The elevator should be moving in just a moment." A gentle vibration followed. Then the elevator continued its descent. The doors opened into the quiet lobby. A maintenance employee bowed repeatedly. "We sincerely apologize." "It's alright," Lena replied. "No one was injured." "Thank you for understanding."

💫6: Ten minutes later... Miu returned. She smiled at Bam. She smiled at Jayna. She even smiled at Lena. But... It wasn't the same smile. It looked practiced. Forced. Almost as if she had carefully put it back on before returning. Lena noticed. She didn't say anything. That afternoon, Ginny approached Miu's desk carrying two cups of iced coffee. "I come bearing peace offerings." Miu laughed. "What did you do this time?" "I accidentally called Jayna cute." "You accidentally?" "... Maybe not." Miu covered her mouth to hide her laugh. "So?" Ginny sighed dramatically. "She smiled." "That's good." "I panicked." "You always panic." "I know." They both laughed. Lena looked up from her office. Again. Ginny. Always Ginny lately.

💫5: The weekend had been quiet. Too quiet. And somehow... That quietness followed them back into the office. Miu was already arranging Lena's schedule when the CEO stepped out of the elevator. "Good morning." Miu looked up. A smile naturally appeared on her face. "Morning." Lena noticed it immediately. "... You're early." "I've been here for twenty minutes." "I can tell." "You can?" "The coffee machine was already empty." Miu laughed. "I'll take responsibility." "You should." The corners of Lena's lips lifted ever so slightly before she continued toward her office. Bam watched the entire exchange from across the room. She slowly turned to Jayna. "... Did she just make a joke?" Jayna blinked. "I think she did." "The world really is ending!" The morning passed peacefully. No arguments. No misunderstandings. Just work. Around noon, Miu's phone vibrated. She glanced at the screen. Her smile disappeared. "... Excuse me." She stood and quietly walked toward the emergency staircase instead of answering at her desk. Lena happened to look up. She watched the stairwell door close behind Miu. "... That's odd."

💫4: Lena stood beside her car, watching until Miu disappeared into the crowd. Only then did she get inside. As she started the engine, she caught herself smiling in the rearview mirror. She hadn't closed a deal. She hadn't signed a contract. She hadn't won an award. But because she had spent half an hour trapped in an elevator with one person... And somehow... It had become the best part of her week. She shook her head at herself. "... What are you doing to me?" The question escaped as a whisper. There was no answer. Only the realization that six months ago, she couldn't stand the sight of Miu Natsha. Now... A Saturday didn't feel complete without her.

💫9: That evening... Everyone began leaving one by one. Miu stayed behind to finish tomorrow's reports. Lena walked out of her office carrying her laptop. "... You're still here." "Just five more minutes." "You've said that before." "I'll actually mean it this time." Lena walked over to her desk. Without a word... She placed a small paper bag beside Miu's keyboard. Miu looked inside. A warm croissant. And a bottle of fresh milk. She looked up. "What's this?" "You skipped lunch." Miu froze. "How did you know?" Lena shrugged. "You weren't at your desk." "I could've eaten outside." "You didn't." "... How can you be so sure?" Lena met her eyes. "Because when you're stressed..." She paused. "You forget to eat." Neither of them spoke. Miu hadn't realized... Someone had been paying that much attention. She smiled-this time, genuinely. "... Thank you." Lena gave a small nod. "Finish your work." "I will." As Lena walked toward the elevator, Miu watched her go. Her heart felt strangely warm. At the same time... Her phone buzzed once more. She looked down. The smile slowly faded. She locked the screen before anyone could see it. "... Just a little longer." She whispered to herself. Then returned to work. Unaware... That Lena had glanced back just in time to catch that fleeting expression. And for the first time... She wondered if Miu was carrying a burden she refused to share.

💫7: A few minutes later, Ginny lowered her voice. "... I bought the flowers." Miu smiled. "I figured." "I almost wrote my name." "I'm glad you didn't." "I would've embarrassed myself." "You still might." Ginny groaned. "You're supposed to encourage me." "I am." "You have a funny way of showing it." Lena couldn't hear everything. Only one sentence drifted into her office. "... I bought the flowers." Her pen stopped moving. Flowers. White lilies. So... It had been Ginny. Without thinking, Lena pressed the intercom. "Miu." "I'll be there." Miu stepped into the office carrying her notebook. "You called?" Lena remained focused on the document in front of her. "... Close the door." Miu did. The room fell quiet. "You've been spending a lot of time with Ginny." Miu blinked. "... Again?" "I'm asking." "We're friends." "You became friends quickly." "It happens." Lena looked up. "... Did she send the flowers?" Miu looked genuinely surprised. "You heard that?" "I heard enough." Miu sighed softly. "... You really only hear half of every conversation." "What does that mean?" "It means..." She smiled at herself. "You never stay long enough to hear the important part." Lena folded her arms. "So she did." "No." "You just said-" "I said she bought the flowers." Lena frowned. "That's the same thing." "No." Miu shook her head. "They weren't for me." Silence. Lena stared at her. "They... weren't?" Miu couldn't help laughing. "No." "Then who were they for?" "I promised I wouldn't tell." Lena's curiosity almost got the better of her. "... Why?" "Because it's someone else's story." She smiled warmly. "And it isn't my place to tell."

💫8: For some reason... That answer eased something inside Lena. She didn't realize how tense she'd been until now. "... I see." Miu tilted her head. "Were you... jealous?" Lena answered far too quickly. "No." "You didn't even think about it." "I didn't need to." Miu smiled knowingly. "Alright." She didn't press the issue. Mostly because... She already knew the answer. As Miu turned to leave- Her phone vibrated again. She glanced at the screen. The smile faded from her face. "... Sorry." "I have to take this." She stepped outside before answering. Lena watched through the glass wall. Miu spoke quietly. Almost whispering. After less than a minute... She ended the call. When she turned around... Her shoulders looked heavier than before. She inhaled deeply. Then smiled. And walked back inside as though nothing had happened.

💫3:Outside... Bangkok was alive with weekend traffic. Street vendors lined the sidewalks. Families walked hand in hand. For once... Neither Lena nor Miu had anywhere they needed to rush. Miu adjusted the strap of her bag. "Thanks again." Lena unlocked her car. "No problem." "It was your day off." "So was yours." Miu smiled. "I still owe you that surprise." "I'll remember." "I know you will." She took a few steps before turning back. "Oh." Lena looked up. "Don't spend the rest of the weekend answering emails." "... How do you know I was going to?" "I know you." Lena couldn't argue with that. "Is that... an order?" Miu laughed. "No... A request." "I'll try." Miu's smile grew a little brighter. "That's all I wanted to hear." She gave a small wave before walking toward the train station.
