@aminetaytay4: I wanted to make an analysis of one of my favorite arcs, especially because I feel like Rimuru’s character development is often overlooked. There’s actually a lot more to his character than people give him credit for. I’ll probably make a second part covering some of the other arcs too. Rimuru is the goat 💙 #tensuraslime #rimuru_tempest #tenseishitaraslimedattaken #falmuth #analysis

Ideal ≠ naivety; trauma ≠ character development or good writing. Rimuru embodies that. For him to keep his people safe he didn't need to sacrifice his kindness nor ideal goals, but he improved how he deals with it by putting the mind of a ruler to himself. * That's why it's so dumb how people says he has no character development when his character development just isn't over-the-top like other anime characters from other series did. His was subtle and actually good, change came naturally but not extremely to him the moment he succeeded in returning Shion and the others back. And after setbacks he doesn't just hope for the better and it suddenly works out for him, but does the work to make it happen with his subordinates. The reason he succeeds is because of his past job and reliability and his subordinates are all competent—and if it's argued that his situation is still cheating, the reason he even had those people around him in the first place is because of the kindness he showed the others and the power he had for the demons who chose to submit to him. * As for "plot armor mc" arguments. The light novel and as of recent episodes literally shows him getting slimed out without the recent developments he has in the present timeline. He, Chloe, Hinata, and Raphael is literally the driving plotline of the show.

to be honest i think rimuru is still a bit naive even after the falmuth arc i have seen some people threaten him and tempest but he does nothing, sometimes he defeats them but he still spare’s their lives, i wish he would kill people more.
