I have a st Bernard’s and she is 9 and seeing this video makes me feel even more sadder no hate tho and I’ve litt grown up with my dog and losing her will forever be my biggest heartbreak. You can barley see her in the photo

she isint really my childhood dog, but man was she there for my pre-teen and teenager years, and every time I felt so fucking alone I always cried in her brown fur, now that I’m 18 and she’s 9 years old suffering visible health conditions, I can’t bare to see her go when I still need her.

I have so much love for this breed. Truly. This was my girl — she was my best friend, we called her momma dog, but truthfully she was the best mom ever. She passed unexpectedly when she was fairly old, but not old enough. And while we only had a few short years together, they were some of the best. It's been 15 years and I still think of her, it's weird, griefs like a broken vase you've swept up — despite thinking you've dealt with it all, you still find hidden shards, and yeah, over time you step on less and less, but they're almost endless and it'll always be a part of you. That's the ultimate price we pay for getting to love them. Wishing you the best🤍
