my boyfriend was taken from me by ice wednesday morning around 9am. what was supposed to be a simple traffic stop for a speeding violation unexpectedly turned into him being detained and taken into ice custody. everything happened so suddenly and none of us ever imagined that a traffic stop could lead to something like this. when i moved up here, i was going through one of the hardest times in my life. i had just left my hometown, everything i knew, and so many people i loved. then i met him. he became the person i had here, the person who brought me joy, comforted me, made me laugh, and made this new place feel like home. he became my everything and i was so grateful to have someone like him during such a difficult transition in my life. now that he’s been taken away from me so suddenly, it feels like i’m experiencing that same loneliness and heartbreak all over again. except this time, i’m missing someone who became such a huge part of my life. i miss him more than words can explain and i would give anything just to have him back home with me. i know people will always have opinions and some may judge or speak on a situation they don’t understand, but this is real life for me. this is someone i love, someone who means everything to me, and i’m just trying to process something i never thought i would have to experience. please keep my boyfriend, his family, and everyone who loves him in your prayers. we’re holding onto faith and hoping he comes home soon. 🤍🇭🇹 #fyp #freeyou #haitiancommunity #ICE #boost
