Robert Rodriguez was my goat as a child. Spy Kids, Mariachi and Desperado, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Machete. Man knows how to give us representation and make it look badass

I still push for a Mexican James bond type. but the industry isn't as bold as me.

Not really because Antonio Banderas is Spaniard and Carla isn’t Hispanic or Latina at all.

I didn’t notice when I was a kid because I thought everyone was Hispanic 😭 including black people and white people (I didn’t grow up around many Asian people but Filipinos counted as Hispanic to me too)

FunTimes New Roman :
I watched it in English so that made them American in my eyes. It was really unique in being latino, i definitely felt it was different but the thumb people and aesthetic freaked me out so I hated it 😩

Even if the cast themselves weren’t Latino (I think only the girl is) it meant a lot as a Chilean kid to see a family I could actually relate to

White Fragility is crazy. because People of Color have been enjoying content full of White People for decades, yet White People cannot enjoy content that has People of Color as the main characters. They end up throwing a fit and review bombing anything that features a lead or cast Of Color. and yet White People claim to be superior???
