@concdeca: Un día por fin supiste lo que tenías que hacer, y lo empezaste, aunque a tu alrededor algunas voces insistían en gritar malos consejos… aunque toda la casa se puso a temblar y sentiste el viejo tirón en los tobillos. “¡Arréglame la vida!”, gritaba cada una de las voces. Pero no te detuviste. Sabías lo que tenías que hacer, aunque el viento husmeara con sus dedos rígidos hasta en los cimientos, aunque su melancolía fuese tremenda. Ya era bastante tarde y era una noche espantosa y la carretera estaba llena de ramas y piedras caídas. Pero poco a poco, a medida que dejabas atrás sus voces, las estrellas comenzaron a arder a través de las láminas de nubes, y se oyó una voz nueva que lentamente reconociste como tuya, que te hacía compañía mientras a zancadas penetrabas cada vez más en el mundo, con la decisión de hacer lo único que podías hacer… la decisión de salvar la única vida que podías salvar. ------------------------------- One day you finally knew what you had to do, and began, though the voices around you kept shouting their bad advice— though the whole house began to tremble and you felt the old tug at your ankles. "Mend my life!" each voice cried. But you didn't stop. You knew what you had to do, though the wind pried with its stiff fingers at the very foundations, though their melancholy was terrible. It was already late enough, and a wild night, and the road full of fallen branches and stones.
