As a parent of a severely disabled child it is down to your parents to protect you as best as possible, allowing certain behaviours because they are disabled is not an excuse for a sibling to suffer in silence absolutely not!! It does however take a special kind of person to be a sibling to a Sen child x

I’m sorry, your parents should have stuck up for you more. I was in the same position and gave up so much to avoid a meltdown or argument. I was in P2 or P3 and played in my room with the door closed any of the time I was home so only spoke to my parents at meal times. That was until the one of my teachers told my parents that I thought it was just because they liked my sister more and warned them to change or they’d risk their relationship with me.

i hate how most parents with autistic childeren blame everything on the autism....at the end of the day, an autistic child is still a child that needs to be tought bounderies and right from wrong, i my self am autistic, and even i know right from wrong....this whole stereoptype of that autistic people are too dumb to underatand anything social, is just wrong.....cuz we do understand. we just need a little bit more time understanding. im sorry of the stuff that happend to you. i hope you are doing better now.
