@myodpodcast: Income Stream #4: Rent-to-Rent 🏠💸 Here’s where real estate gets interesting: You may not even need to own the property. Rent-to-rent is a strategy where you lease a property from a landlord, then operate it in a way that generates more income than your total monthly costs. For example: You rent an apartment for $700/month. You furnish it, improve the presentation, and operate it as a short-term rental. If it generates $1,300/month: • Landlord gets $700 • Expenses are $200 • You keep $400 profit And you never bought the property. The lesson? Real estate isn’t always about ownership. Sometimes it’s about control, management and strategy. If you can take a good property and operate it better, there may be an opportunity to create income without needing the capital to purchase the asset first. But this strategy has to be done properly. Get the landlord’s permission. Use proper agreements. Understand local laws and building rules. Know your numbers before committing. Done well, rent-to-rent can become a strong income stream — and potentially help you build the capital to own property later. You don’t always need to own the asset first. Sometimes you need to understand how to operate it. #RealEstate #RentToRent #PropertyInvestment #ShortTermRentals
