A sheriff said that to me under the guise of trying to frame my husband and her trying to insinuate my nervousness was because of my husband's controlling behavior. I emphatically told her my nervousness was entirely based on her presence because I knew that she was interrogating me to try to get something on my husband and I knew she and her whole department pride themselves on being allowed to lie and are proud of that. She was not happy I did fall for her trap.
