oof I finally sit down and did a video making a loop parallax background, I also received a lot of comment asking how I animated the BG, which will partly be answered in this video too. I will try to explain if you have any questions, don't hesitate to comment and I will reply to you if I can help. OKAY What is the parallax effect? I'm sure most of us know the effect, especially if you ever look out the windows on a car or in a train. The closest objects will be bigger and move faster, the farthest smaller and move very slow. Using this effect helps your animation have more depth and more lively. What is keyframe? Well I will not explain the word keyframe because I'm not that good at animation, but if you are not familiar with keyframes on capcut or video editing apps, let's just say if you put a keyframe on your object at 00:00 at point A and another keyframe at 00:05 at point B, your object will gradually move from point A to point B during that 5 seconds. Like I said, it's quite simple, 1 or 2 videos on youtube would also explain it perfectly. (*) I understand this technique might be a bit too manual? I think there are probably ways that are less work? So far I haven't found other effective ways, if you do, please tell me. (**) I normally do these parallax BG on Premier pro but I decided to do a tutorial on Capcut desktop app because it's free and everyone can get it. The same with Photoshop, you don't need it as long as you can copy and move layers? (***) Regarding the parallax effect, the foreground will move faster than the rest of the animation, so you'll need a longer foreground (because velocity works that way). I actually didn't just duplicate the foreground but it's 3 times longer than the original layer, so it can move a bit faster before the end of the loop. I'm sorry the tutorial seem clumsy, I don't know how to make it smooth and easier to understand, but I hope all the information I put out there really helps you #animation #tutorial #parallax
