My two cents as a practicing therapist for 30+ years. I had an event happen three months ago this young man was dangerously suicidal. He came into my office. His mother brought him to the appointment did proper screening. He was affirmative on all six domains of eminent Risk I coordinated with his mother and with the hospital where he went directly from my office to hospital admissions I spoke several times with the hospital social worker I spoke with his school social worker. I coordinated with his prescriber when he was coming out of the hospital, I made sure he had an appointment both with me. He had his prescriber within 48 hours of discharge. I also coordinated again with the school social worker. I saw him last Friday. He’s doing good. Now let’s talk about reality all that care coordination that I did maybe 25 percent got paid. I did it because it was the right thing to do and I knew what to do and obviously that is not a financially sustainable practice. I slept better at night.

I recommend watching all of the testimonials from the psychiatrists. much of what you said is incorrect compared to what their testimonies shared. most of the time during the first few months she was actually un-medicated because she did not take the medications. she was also seen quite often by Dr Tufts and was asked about side effects at every visit. she also communicated side effects through the portal.

What went wrong was Lindsay Clancy was withholding information and flat out lying to her providers and even admitted to one that she was not consistently following any proposed plans. You can blame the husband and you can blame the providers, but it comes down to Lindsay herself not being honest. She didn't get the help she needed because she didn't give the providers the information they needed to properly treat her.

If a patient is being honest about their symptoms, then an accurate diagnosis cannot be given. She likely didn't tell other doctors about what had been prescribed, she likely didn't allow those meds to fully take effect before jumping on another, and she didn't tell the doctor's exactly what she was thinking and feeling.

I remember having tried to get help here in Germany, nobody helped me, until one day I called the police on myself, I was in a very bad place, I was afraid I could hurt my children. they came, helped me go into the right hospital, social services finally helped me, and I came out better, with follow up, and my children were given back. if I didn't get help, I don't know what I could have done. but I always madly loved my children. she was failed, so were the children 😩😩😩

Tufts should have referred her to a more seasoned colleague. She needed bloodwork done and hormone and thyroid panels done. She needed actual therapy. She needed a break from being a mom. Every single practitioner failed her.
