I accidentally came out to my nan over Skype at 13. She was asking me if I had made any new friends on my first day of school when I said *thought I said “Yes, I made a friend called Scarlet. We are now going to school together in the morning & she wait’s for me after school.” But I had miscalculated the French pronoun for friend & called her my ‘girlfriend’ as I had forgot that in French you don’t have girlfriends unless you are dating them.. She kept telling me I wasn’t saying what I thought I was saying but I kept telling her I knew what I meant!☝️🫢👁️👄👁️Well, at least she took it well🤷‍♀️
