You dont understand how much i relate to this, I went to this sixthform recently and they kept telling me to change my a level options to humanities subjects instead of bio and chem i almost broke down into tears i love those subjects and I cant do them at the school i wanted 💔

the good news is liking stem is all it takes to be good at it! literally anyone can get there with enough practice. sure it comes more easily to some people but that doesn’t mean they will end up further in their field than you because it rlly is about commitment blood sweat and tears

always been like that. not bad in stem, pretty much talented in humanities. in high school i decided to only focus on sciences. i kind of rewired my brain, i think. new concepts started to feel easier to understand and i kind of build the logic in my head that i never had naturally. i ended high school this year and got into med school. i was on the 33. place from more than 3000 people. and honestly? i did a lot of work, but it rarely felt exhausting or too much because i just loved it. lately i've been noticing that when it comes to languages or other humanity subjects, my skills start to slip. and it somehow feels good, because my best abilities are in the things that i love. a proof that discipline always beats talent.

I’ve been told my entire life that one day my poetry and literature is going to make me rich, that it’s going to change the world, etc. and while I love to write I envy every woman with a brain that understands science and math. I truly believe they are the smartest people on this earth. To see the world through the lense of a formula, an equation, a solvable problem.
