When I go back to work on Monday and people ask me what i did over the weekend. I say “nothing much, I took it easy;” because I can’t say, “I sat in silence, contemplated existence, and alchemized every minute trauma that occurred over the past week.” Society over values “doing,” outward movement and perceivable productivity. It is more than enough to exist consciously and enjoy the full potential of a quiet moment.

Yeah but also there is an even deeper need to be percieved accurately and accepted. I was over 40 the first time someone did this and it was emotionally overwhelming, I didn't know I needed it because I never experienced it.🙃🌹🔥
