@teresondupuy: 3 things you need to do to start healing your heartbreak: 1. Take your focus off of THEM and put it back on YOU. Stop spending all of your energy diagnosing them. Why did they do it? Are they a narcissist? Are they avoidant? Do they miss me? Will they come back? What’s happening in their new relationship? None of those questions heal you. Start getting curious about yourself instead. What did this relationship teach me? What wounds did it activate? Why was I attracted to this dynamic? What did I tolerate that I wouldn’t tolerate today? Where did I abandon myself trying to keep someone else? Every time you redirect your attention from them back toward yourself, you’re reclaiming energy you’ve been giving away. 2. Get off the stage of the drama. Step outside of the story for a minute. What are you telling yourself about what happened? “They chose someone better.” “I wasn’t enough.” “They ruined my life.” “I’ll never experience a connection like that again.” Are those absolute truths—or are they interpretations created by a wounded mind trying to make sense of something painful? You don’t have to keep starring in the tragedy. Step off the stage. Become the observer. Change the story. 3. Find the purpose in what happened. This is where heartbreak becomes alchemy. From a spiritual perspective, what if this person wasn’t simply the villain in your story? What if they were a catalyst? What if this relationship came into your life to expose the wounds that were already waiting to be healed? The abandonment wound. The attachment wound. The generational pattern. The belief that you aren’t enough. The part of you that keeps choosing unavailable people. Maybe their role wasn’t to stay forever. Maybe their role was to break open the places within you that were ready to be transformed. And now your role is to put yourself back together differently. Not as the person you were before them. As someone more conscious. More discerning. More securely rooted in yourself. More whole. More aligned with your highest and holiest self. That is how you stop making heartbreak the end of your story and start allowing it to become the beginning of your transformation. Need some advice. My ex that broke up with me 12 days ago used my credit card. I don't know if she used it by accident or not because it might have been saved on her laptop. She used to do the food shopping. But I've cancelled the card today once I've noticed. Should I reach out and say to her, you used my card? Or should I let it slide? I don't want to initiate contact, but I don't want her to think that she can just use my card, which I don't know if she used it intentionally or not. What's your thoughts?
