The story was literal. A very emotional story also; a sad story too. But the story is an encouragement In faith to other readers like me(the believer), will your allegiance to God be only because he gives you things and protects you, what about times of great loss and when there’s suffering , it’s easy to thank God when it’s all good, what about when it gets bad or crazy, would you still believe and maintain the honor you have for Him being God. Jobs heart never changed towards God, that was the point. That every man in their hearts will be contrite to God.
