@cameo_labs: If you’re using Claude and still getting generic answers, the problem might not be your prompt. It might be what you’re asking Claude to do with the prompt. A lot of people spend their time adding more detail, more instructions, more context, more examples. That helps, but there’s a bigger jump available: change the reasoning process itself. These 3 prompts do exactly that. 1. Make Claude argue with itself. Instead of asking for “the best approach,” force Claude to develop competing approaches and attack its own reasoning. This is especially useful for strategy, business decisions, positioning, product ideas, writing, and any problem where there isn’t one obvious answer. 2. Make Claude tell you what context it needs. This one is absurdly useful. Instead of guessing what information Claude needs, make Claude interview you first. You’ll often find the missing context is something you never thought to include in your original prompt. 3. Run an assumption autopsy. This is the one I use when an answer sounds smart, but I’m not convinced it’s right. Claude will often make reasonable assumptions to fill gaps in your prompt. The danger is those assumptions disappear inside a polished answer. Force Claude to expose them, rank them, challenge the important ones, then reconsider its answer. That last step matters. The goal isn’t to write increasingly complicated prompts. The goal is to make Claude do more rigorous work before it gives you an answer.
