My son was born on 2nd July 2026 at Thika Sam's. Like every parent, I was supposed to be celebrating the arrival of my baby and looking forward to taking him home healthy and safe. But what happened after his birth is something I never expected. While my baby was in the hospital nursery, a rubber band was placed around his arm, apparently during the process of giving him an injection. Somehow, the rubber band was forgotten and my baby remained with it for more than 24 hours. Imagine discovering that your newborn had been left with something tightly wrapped around his tiny arm for that long. As a parent, I was devastated and scared. I kept wondering how something like this could happen to a newborn under the care of medical professionals. Since the incident involving my newborn son, I have tried everything possible to resolve this matter directly and peacefully with the hospital’s management. I reported the issue. I raised my concerns. I followed the proper channels. I even involved HR because I believed the matter could be handled professionally. But weeks later, I’m still asking the same questions: What is happening with my case? What has management decided? When will I get a response? Every time I contact The HR, I’m told, “She will call you back.” But the call never comes. I wait. I follow up. I call again. Still nothing. It has reached a point where I feel like I am the one chasing the hospital for answers about an issue that happened to my own newborn child. What hurts most is the impression that management is either unwilling to address the matter or is acting as though they don't know what is happening even though I have already reported it through the proper channels. I did not start by going to social media. I tried to resolve this privately. I gave the hospital an opportunity to listen, investigate and provide a fair resolution. But silence is not a resolution. I am not asking for special treatment. I am asking for accountability, communication and a proper response concerning what happened to my baby. I will continue following up because as a parent, I cannot simply forget what happened and move on without answers. #justice #kenyantiktok #nairobitiktokers #tiktokkenya #kenyantiktok🇰🇪
