My brother almost died in 2018 from falling off his E scooter. He was in a coma for 3+ months and half of his skull had to be taken out of his head and put into his stomach while his brain swelling went down. The doctors said he wasn’t going to make it/had no brain activity. Thankfully he made a somewhat recovery. He suffers from seizures sometimes, can’t drive anymore, memory is bad and he is on disability now and can’t work. He can talk and walk though but, he was EXTREMELY lucky to recover the way he did. Most do not.

Two teenagers almost hit me today, literally had to jump out of the way. I yelled at them. I hate these things sooo much, and I never see anyone wearing a helmet.

They are sooo unsafe!!! I think they should be illegal on walk paths. Someone just died last night because they ran a red light on one of these and someone ran into them.

I’m confused about people arguing their kids should be able to ride their e-bikes on the sidewalk. Even regular bikes aren’t allowed on the sidewalks. At least where I live, although our city in the past 10-15 years has been putting in more bike lanes so that helps. But regardless it’s such a selfish mindset - “My kid should be allowed to ride their e-bike on the sidewalk and endanger other people’s lives to make themselves safer” Meanwhile the safest solution for EVERYONE is to just not allow your kid to ride an e-bike!!! Hello!!
