I was happy they didn't win, because we usually see people winning in shows even if they weren't the best and life is not like that. As a teen, I was heartbroken for them but loved the decision of the writers, it felt so realistic even though the show had so many absurds happening even at the time! 😅

Yeah, but I appreciate that they didn’t win because if they won every time it would not truly be an underdog story. Besides the inspiration to write original songs? Beautiful… I used to listen to “Get It Right” and “Loser Like Me” regularly as a teenager
