إِنَّ الَّتِي زَعَمَتْ فُؤادَكَ مَلَّهَا خُلِقَتْ هَوَاكَ كَمَا خُلِقَتْ هَوًى لَهَا _عروة بن اذينة هذه الأبيات تُصوّر حوارًا داخليًّا بين عاشقٍ وقلبه؛ يبدأها الشاعر باليقين أنّ الحبّ الذي يسكنه ليس من طرفٍ واحد، وأنّ محبوبته تحمل من الوجد ما يحمل. ثمّ يمضي في وصف حبٍّ استقرّ بين جوانحه حتى صار أقرب إليه من أنفاسه، حبٍّ لو كان ظلًّا فوقها لما فارقها، ولو كان تحت فراشها لرفعها برفقه. ويبلغ الشوق ذروته حين يصف محبوبته وقد صاغها النعيمُ في غاية اللطف والجمال، ثمّ يروي موقفًا صغيرًا يحمل من الألم ما تحمله القصائد الطويلة: مرّ بها وسلّم، فمنعت ردّ التحية، فوقف بين العتب والعذر، وبين رجاء القلب وصمته. قصيدةٌ عن حبٍّ صادقٍ لا يخاصم محبوبه، حتى في الجفاء… بل يبحث له عن عذر، ثم يترك آخر الكلام معلّقًا: “لعلّها…” These verses portray an intimate dialogue between a lover and his own heart. The poet begins with a quiet certainty: that his love is not one-sided, and that the beloved carries the same longing within her. He then unfolds a love that has settled deep within his chest—so close it feels like breath itself. A love so tender that, were it above her, it would shade her; and were it beneath her, it would gently lift her. The longing reaches its peak when he describes her as someone shaped delicately by grace and beauty.
