My doctor once diagnosed me with a ✨sin problem✨ when what I actually had was a collapsed joint in my foot and torn tendons. He told me I needed to pray and get right with God because my pain was His punishment for my sinning. 🥲

Dude, they way we, as patients KNOW what’s wrong with us and doctors still won’t listen because we didn’t study medicine… I get it, they studied for it, but a HUGE part of being a great doctor (and not a person with a medicine bachelor), is listening to your patients and their concerns without prejudice or bias

Diagnosed my self with nutcracker after years of wrong diagnosis. When I finally got into a vascular surgeon he’s like you can see it in every CT over the past several years 🙄👀

I am 47. I have 5 autoimmune and just learned this past year I have retroaortic renal vein which explains why I always have blood in my urine etc. I have has 13 ct scans and not 1 mentioned it until this last one 🫠

How did you get the POTS diagnosis? My daughter is going through this. Tilt table test is next week. But she said even if she ‘passes’ she’s convinced she has it.

I was told for over a decade I have anxiety and turns out it’s genetic Ankylosing Spondylitis. I had to retrain my brain to realize that my “anxiety” was actually extreme levels of pain and I wasn’t having a panic attack, I was in blinding pain.

not a single doctor can diagnose properly. I watched it with my mother all throughout my childhood being misdiagnosed, sent from hospital to hospital and then they took her off her chronic meds and she was in psychosis for a week. and now with me. not a single doctor believes me, and they all tell me I'm just anxious. Not a single one knows what they're doing unfortunately
