When your mom needs to act a fool to get you to brush your teeth 🤪! He has come a LONG WAY in this dept.!! The struggle is real (I’m even a hygienist!). Here are some things that we do to keep his teeth clean: -Use a soft pediatric (baby) tooth brush because the bristles are soft and the head is extra small. -Use fluoride free toothpaste because he can’t spit any of it out and we don’t use suction. -Let him chew on wet wash cloths to help keep his mouth wet and for sensory input. -Try and brush his teeth daily. We always brush his teeth in the bath to keep mess down. -In a pinch, Wisps are a good option to remove plaque and freshen breath. -FYI: liquid iron will stain your teeth and unfortunately Si is no exception (just wanted to add that in case you ever wondered why your child has brown stain on their teeth suddenly). #disabilityparenting #teeth #behindthescenes #adayinmylife #caregiver
