Italy eventually would’ve beaten Greece, comparing industry, etc, Italy would’ve worn Greece down through a battle of attrition, by the time Germany came to help, Italy was already showing some signs of progress

Greeks were experts in guerrilla warfare. You can thank the Ottomans for forcing Greece to acquire that skill. A poorly armed Greece had to defeat a much larger Ottoman army, better armed, and with heavy artillery and a navy. History is full of a handful of Greeks defeating much larger Turkish units. One famous example was the battle of Gravia Inn where 120 Greeks defeated 9,000 Ottoman forces. Italy failed to consider that when they invaded over mountains regions where numbers weren’t the most important variable. Greece’s ability to withstand the Axis Powers for 219 days was the single greatest factor that doomed Hitlers Operation Barbarossa, which pushed it into the Russian winter. Hitler himself blamed Greece for his defeat.
