If the defence successfully creates reasonable doubt by poking holes in the prosecution's narrow 45-minute timeline, a "not criminally responsible" verdict for Lindsay shifts the entire battleground to the civil arena. This is actually the best-case scenario for uncovering the absolute truth. Unlike the police, corporate lawyers defending the hospital, doctors, and pharmaceutical companies aren't bound by strict criminal investigation rules. Even if Patrick drops his claims, Lindsay’s civil suits will move forward while she is protected in psychiatric care, leaving Patrick to face relentless, hours-long depositions. These high-powered corporate attorneys will subpoena everything, what happened all day not just the “45 minutes”her Apple Watch data, his watch data, nanny cam logs, vehicle metrics, and Wi-Fi router activity, EVERYTHING breaking the case wide open and exposing every single detail the police missed. In this criminal trial, the defense is legally confined to poking holes in the prosecution's exact timeline because Lindsay's severe depression and medication-induced amnesia prevent her from offering an alternative story or pointing fingers. However, a future civil lawsuit backed by massive funding will deploy data experts and subpoenas to forensically dissect every text, video, and household log, meaning any discrepancies in Patrick's prior statements will completely collapse under that scrutiny.

I genuinely haven’t seen a single evidence besides PC’s word…like how do people believe she did it? I’d believe that it was murder by breaking in by someone else before i’d believe that she did it bc there’s genuinely no proof? Ok she had mental issues and she was alone at home, her husband said she admitted it but there’s no other proof? Literally how is it so easy to accuse someone of crime?

Thank you for being a voice of reason and actual legal requirements. Many people don’t understand how the law works or even being innocent until proven guilty.

So you are saying, with conviction and backed up by your expertise, that her lawyer will try to establish reasonable doubt so jurors don’t believe she did it though he conceded that fact? Also, why would he do that to begin with? At some point the best he hoped for was NGRI? But now the tables have turned and he might go all the way not with NGRI but she might not have done it? That’s a Perry Mason moment if that were the case.

As of now, isn’t the evidence presented in court that Lindsay was the only adult in the house with the children, and that the children were killed during the window when Patrick was gone? If so, that seems like very strong circumstantial evidence. The defense doesn’t have to prove an alternative perpetrator, but what evidence currently creates a reasonable doubt that someone else committed the killings?

I have a few questions you might be able to answer- can reddington recall patrick and 1. show him the videos of his clothes and shoes at cvs and 3V and ask when he made a clothing change and why 2. why he said he got generic the pedialyte bc they didn’t have the name brand so he had to call her when lindsay called ahead and made sure they had it and that’s what was on the cvs receipts name brand 3. Show the photo of the kids plates on top of his cvs bag on the counter and ask when he moved the plates 4. Why was a cop who was standing outside able to see one of the kids on the basement floor from outside but patrick didn’t see them at any point?? and even if she could have spoken which clearly she couldn’t - but if she said they are in the basement wouldn’t he have looked bc the light was on he said it was and the cop saw them from the window….
