I don't think my mom wanted to be a mother, she didn't know she was pregnant with me until late, like 7-8mos into it... result of a one night stand or fun weekend. she was the best single mother I could ask for in the world, gave her life for her children and never got a break.. she left the earth in 2004 at age 45, working 3 jobs till the day she passed.

for me having children would mean abandoning another child. my inner child. who spent her entire childhood feeling like a burden, misunderstood, and desperately wanting to feel safe and loved. I was diagnosed with adhd very early in my childhood. I had "male presenting" adhd, as a little girl. and the way i was treated for things I couldnt control or understand. now I tell that child that she is loved, she is amazing, smart, everything she needed to hear back then. I decided at 12 I didnt want to be a mother. and I feel it would be more selfish to have a child of my own and possibly make them feel how I felt. because even at 37, that child in me still needs love.

the older I get, the happier I get that I never ended up having a baby with any of my ex's. the thought of having to be tied to one of them is an exhausting thought.

I've got 3 children and my BIGGEST FEAR is that they get trapped into parenthood like I did with society expectations. NO ONE SHOULD EVER have kids cuz they LITERALLY steal your life. forever. I love my three. They are amazing. but as a mom of 3 who works 65+hrs a week, DO NOT DO IT!! IT IS A TRAP!!
