When I was 16 I worked as a nurses assistant at a rest home to see if it was a career I wanted to go into. There was only one older man in residence and he spoke to management to say, he didn’t think it was suitable for a young girl to be put in a situation where she is responsible for showering or changing at grown man. He said he had 4 daughters and he was appalled that the management would suggest I would be asked to do such a thing, he said very few men would put themselves second if presented with the same situation.
