I feel like some of the comments are missing the point. End of life care is easier to administer if you’re in a bed made for it BUT the top priority is to make sure you’re comfortable. If your own bed works better for you, they’ll absolutely do it.

My grandfather died in his recliner. Probably one of the WORST things to die in especially if their confused, yet can't walk. Sucker definitely can flip 😅

I'd rather go in my own bed. if on hospice. My husband died in the provided bed and he kept complaining how uncomfortable it was. I would have moved him to ours but he had nephrostomy tubes. :(

I know if I make it far enough to need hospice I’m spending the rest of my short life in a cozy recliner surrounded by stuffed animals and blankets, the hospital bed might be easier but I’ve slept in those and I felt like I was gonna get pressure sores overnight, it’s like laying on plywood😅

I was a hopsice social if a patient told me they wanted to die at home, I'd tell.them that we could do that "as long as we safely can". and then I'd explain what resources were available to make that happen

I got my parents an adjustable bed frame and they were both able to die in their own bed.
