@naomihelenglobal: More style differences I’ve noticed between European & American women after spending a lot of time on both sides!! 👀👀 #Europe #Fashion #travel #thingsifindchic #Style
I agree, but the Europe you talk about is literally just France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, maybe London, Munich and Vienna.

There’s different styles all over Europe. The British women dress more like American women on nights out. The Southern Europeans are more understated but always look immaculate

That was a wild generalization 😅 The ”European style” you’re showing is very refined and minimalistic.
In Sweden the fashion changes depending on where you live or hang out (I bet it’s the same in US). Like in the little town I live in. One classic is what I call the ”middle manager”-style, a very defined way of ”hit the town” style. Men: beige chinos, a pastel colored button-up, some ”nice shoes”. Women: A pastel colored dress with a very specific silhouette 😅 I’ve seen this phenomenon in several small cities, it’s like copy paste.
My style as middle aged woman (44) is hey babereba. Sometimes purple Dickies and vans. Sometimes minimalistic (rarely, but if I have to).
Make up, I just can’t, I feel ugly and tacky. My step-daughter (15) super cute, full blown glam make up just going to school. But of course there’s a lot of sub fashion as well. I’m blabbering but I think you get my point 🤪

As an Italian woman, I can confirm a lot of things on my side of things. That's my style... comfortable, chic, minimal make up, and we have here the so called sciura (rough translation: rich old lady that lives in Milan), a fashion model for generations - always perfect, elegant. Also, we tend to dress very elegantly for every kind of occasion here. I love being a diva, whatever I am going and doing outside ❤️

my grandmother (who was born in the 30s), NEVER went outside without lipstick. even if she was just going out to throw the trash. and she always wore skirts and had her hair in hair rollers every night. she bought her first ever sneakers like a year before she passed. she was always so well dressed.

I don't wear comfy clothing at home as long someone could come over to visit. Only when i close up for the night the comfy clothing comes out

i notice american girls immediately as a european (croatia). america is huge and we can't generalize, but what i noticed is always they look relaxed and laid back ALWAYS. flip flops with jeans, brandy mellvile, hoop earrings, graphic baby tees, colors!, weird/y2k sunglasses, no blazers ever if it's casual style. in area of europe where i live it is lots of monoromatic looks, dark brown, ysl and bottega inspired looks and everyone looks overdressed and stuck up. casual looks are always accompanied with a blazer, structured makeup look, 0 colors.

I do think you should specify which parts of Europe. From your analysis, it sounds like you're talking about Italy but the UK and Eastern Europe dress very differently from Italy, for example.
