I honestly stopped being disappointed about not having ride or die friends. After trying for a while, I just kinda realized most adults suck; constantly showing up late and treating plans casually, cancelling last minute, arriving unprepared… it’s exhausting. Rather be peaceful at home

I teach my kids this. You have 1-2 core friends that are your ride or die. Then you have different categories of friends. School, sports, work, etc. And they are all fantastic to have.

I have so many groups like that! Nothing too deep or too personal unless they want to talk about it I’ll listen but I don’t volunteer anything I wouldn’t want publish in the paper
