Ad | Delicious Orange Tartelettes Recipe 🍊🤍 Elegant, fresh, and refined – crisp shortcrust pastry filled with aromatic orange pastry cream. Perfect for classic patisserie moments. 🤍 📝 Ingredients (makes about 6–7tartelettes, approx. 13 × 4 cm) For the shortcrust pastry • 200 g all-purpose flour • 100 g cold butter, cubed • 70 g powdered sugar • 1 egg (size M) • 1 pinch of salt • Zest of ½ organic orange For the orange pastry cream • 300 ml milk • Zest of 1 organic orange • 3 egg yolks • 75 g sugar • 30 g cornstarch • 25 g butter For decorating • Fresh orange slices (thinly sliced) • Powdered sugar (for the edges only) 🤍 Instructions 1. Mix flour, powdered sugar, salt, and orange zest. Rub in the butter until crumbly. Add the egg and quickly knead into a smooth dough. Flatten, wrap in plastic wrap, and chill for 30 minutes. 2. Roll out the dough to about 3 mm thickness, line the tartlet molds, and prick the bases with a fork. Chill again for 20 minutes. 3. Line the tartelettes with parchment paper, fill with baking weights, and blind bake at 180 °C / 350 °F (top/bottom heat) for about 15 minutes. Carefully remove the parchment and weights, then bake for another 8–10 minutes until golden. Let cool completely. 4. Heat the milk with orange zest (do not boil). Whisk egg yolks, sugar, and cornstarch until smooth. Gradually add the hot milk while stirring, return everything to the pot, and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until very thick. Remove from heat, stir in the butter, cover the surface directly with plastic wrap, and let cool completely. 5. Briefly whisk the chilled cream until smooth, transfer to a piping bag, and pipe into the tartelettes in a wavy pattern. 6. Decorate with fresh orange slices. Lightly dust the tartlet edges with powdered sugar. 7. Chill until ready to serve. A crisp base, silky orange cream, and a clean, elegant finish – a timeless tartlet classic with a delicate citrus note. 🤍🍊
