Well, it’s this initial idea that we are gonna find somebody that will complete us which implies that we are not a whole person to begin with. It’s so sad that people aren’t looking to be a whole person within themselves, but because of generational conditioning they’re looking and putting these expectations on another person and then even worse, they decide to have children. In the case of my upbringing, it wasnt that I was trying to make others like me that got to me first. It was not being able to have an opinion that was different than the opinion I was being bullied into agreement with, so much so that I was made to be afraid to speak up for myself out of strong fears of physical retaliation. It took me way too many years to finally understand that and ask if i was allowed to have an honest opinion to begin with.

I am in that position right now, I was always giving always helping, I now find myself without a roof over my head for the first time in my life, trying to fill someone else’s cup! They got their cup filled, and he left mine empty . I will never rely on anybody else again from this state forward. When you have the guest of hospitality and loving out, it’s definitely a gift, but it needs to be honed !!!
