Reasons like this that don’t make no sense for anyone else are the best. If you think it’s a dumb story well thats fine. He doesn’t need you to understand his reasoning. It makes sense to him. You’re the one who stayed long enough wanting to hear his story not the other way around.

If Dylan can hear David, David could definitely hear him. I think David had that entire interaction on purpose to make Dylan’s day. He’s known for being super nice to fans and very generous with his time.
