My hospital has quiet hours from 2-4pm so you can rest with no interruptions. It was amazing.

When I gave birth to my first child, I remember I spent a few hours trying to get him down and when he finally went down, I thought I could get some rest. 10 minutes later, the nurse came in to do some bloodwork and pricked his foot. Thanks lady….

Newborn screening can be pushed back 24hrs after baby is born 🙃 no cord clamping or cutting until cord stops pulsating and turns white, no interruptions during golden hour either, if mama is breastfeeding (she can try to get baby to latch and create natural contractions to help deliver placenta instead of someone pushing on her stomach to force it out) mama or papa just has to say before baby is born ❤️

When the nurse came in at 2am I was dead asleep but idk if it’s an instinctual thing or what, she got close to my baby and I immediately woke up like 😶and she said, don’t worry mama just taking vitals. Scared the heck out of me😂I don’t realize they’d be there like vampires in the night

I let them take blood work while I was sleeping. I had no idea what was happening that first night. This was 8 years ago and I’m about to have another baby in October 😅

The nursery Is essential AND a joke. We had our son and the 2nd night we needed a rest so they took him to the nursery for the night. Babies night in the nursery: $3,800. oh and it was already 3am so we got him back by the time the sun came up.

This is the only reason I left 24 hours after birth. My labor was almost 24 hours. I didn’t eat for almost 24 hours. I was EXHAUSTED and they wouldn’t leave us alone.
