Walk out to the hall, knock on the doors on both sides of your room and across from you. Ask whomever answers if they’d like to grab dinner tonight in the dining hall. From those three rooms, you will likely end up with one or two of the best friends you will ever have.

A good recommendation is to keep your door open as much as possible in the first week. You’ll be surprised how causal conversations start. How quickly a group will ask you to join them for lunch or dinner. At the very least you break down any unintentional barriers with your neighbors. It’s so easy to get yourself isolated without even meaning it if you hang in your room with your door closed.

You meet people outside of your room. Go to the cafe, sit outside, say hi to someone walking down the hall.

girl get out of ur dorm!! the first week is the easiest to make friends, spring fling is on wednesday at the union that’s where a lot of clubs and sororities will be at for you to explore and talk to :)

come by Kerr Hall!! B side 8th floor and dm me for my room number if you wanna hang! Trust, me and my roommate are super friendly. But fr fr just go out and find people at events, school clubs, dorms! I went out with some of my new friends to the UNT rave and it was a blast 😋 (plus turning 18 today, and the clock hitting 12am right as we got into the club haha)
