The most trauma I got from guard is crying like 7 times before the school year even started and I HATED it it feels embarrassing to cry over small shi too 💔

Hi I’m Nikki and in my JR year in 2001 our band director decided that the color guard would pull a HUGE American Flag out of a box. We debuted it on Friday September 14th….. and half of us tripped and dropped the flag on the field. In a military town. 3 days after 9/11. I brought runts.

Hi my name is anon, and my very first day I messed a pop toss and the flag butt went into my eye and now I’m legally blind in that eye and have to wear glasses the rest of my life 🙃

Real on the women’s health care one. Starting in middle school and got much worse in high school I would have severe ankle pain if I was on it for more than 30ish minutes. My tech and teammates accused me of faking. I went to 7 doctors before one saw something on an MRI. Now I’ve had two surgeries. The pain is still there but much better.

were sharing colorguard trauma? Im ziro, im a senior and during one of our shows my sophomore year, during our winterguard show, In sauté for our choreo, tripped on our costume pants, fell on my face, and continued the show (I cried so hard after..)

Hi I’m Lacee, I was in a car accident halfway through my senior winter season. I ripped all my ligaments and chipped my bone in said accident. I was the main soloist in the show and had to do my solo at wgi finals without practicing all day to prevent extra swelling on my ankle so I would be able to walk on it to preform. We got 1st place, but at what cost.

okay so I'm a drum major but the day of our homecoming field show during rehearsal one of our guard members got hit with a flag and she got concussed (which left us with three guard members for the show)

I relate to Lila. I was the only person in my grad class for all but junior year. Foreign exchange student my age was on the team my junior year so experienced this as well. Everyone who was on my team my freshman year graduated or moved back to their country of origin

Hi I’m Julie and when I was a junior we had a big fabric flyover for our show and one day it was really windy and it came down super hard on everyone and the guard was all the way in the back and ever single one of us got decked by it and got knocked to the floor

One time as flg captain I had to sit in front of the entire team and do single over and over again and I had to ay everything I was doing wrong with it even tho I had it good

The woman's health is a joke thing is true, I'm a freshman and in the majorette line at my school currently and in the months leading up to try outs in March 2026 I started having intense back pain like I'd get shootting pains starting at my lower back and shooting up my spine,the doctors did nothing the first 3 times I went and finally the 4th doctor ordered me PT and told me I did permanent damage to the nerves and muscles in my lower back🥲

Hi my name is Kendall and my junior year of guard I was a co-Captain and got hit by the captain full force with a flag pole in my elbow and a year later in my senior year I ended up possibly tearing it and quit indoor the day after..

Hi my name is Savannah I once lost my flag after throwing a parallel toss I did think to run and got hit upside the head. At least I found my flag then later that night questioned why my ear was swollen and found out I permenantly snapped the cartilage a indented my ear few months later threw the same toss LOST IT and hit my face where ny glasses cut me i didnt think much of it until my coach started to rush me to the band director to get help because i had no reaction to it and was just gonna keep going and thats where practice ended early becouse we were only using a small street light to see had to call my dad to pick me up becouse my glasses broke. And that was the last time i ever thrown a parralell toss
