I’ve worn my hair natural for almost 20 years, because the last time I relaxed my hair the whole left side broke off 🥴. When I first started wearing it red, I had to lighten my natural hair with dye first to get the color I wanted. Over time I stopped needing that step because, well...the grey made my routine 1 less thing to do lol. 👩🏾‍🦳 This last year of my 40s, I’m not doing a list of what I’m leaving behind. I’m thinking about what I’m bringing with me. And I would like to bring as much of my hair...and my edges...as possible. I’m still rinsing it red and absolutely still wearing ponytails and buns and I’m not heat-free. I’m just paying more attention to what I use, how I use it and why.
