In most of Europe it's mandatory you take all of your leave annually, otherwise they have to pay you, but most companies are cheapstake and prefer to force-send you on leave. 😂

As employee it is also your responsibility to take enough breaks and prioritize mental and physical health to stay efficient. And the employer should have in interest in that as well

In my country, your manager will come for you if you don’t take your paid leave. Im really bad at taking it all, so I had it happen multiple times that they just showed up and gave me the next 3 weeks off to get me to use it all 🫣(it always almost expires in low season.)

What do you mean yo don't take all the days? I have 25 mandated by law and an additional 5 for my position. I use them all. Even my employer follows up on usage.

I know there are cultural differences, however, on our deathbed, no one ever says they wished they worked more. Take time off, travel, visit family, read the books, take long naps, listen to beautiful music, take walks with friends you miss. Take the time off you've earned.
